Rotary youth ambassador program

Rotary Youth Exchange students spend up to a year living with a few host families and attending school in a different country. They will also be a Rotary ambassador, teaching people they meet about their home country, culture, and ideas. Exchange students help bring the world closer — and make some good friends in the process. More than 8, young people each year have experiences like these through Rotary Youth Exchange.

Rotaract Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to Scouting Since their inception, Rotary International and the Boy Scouts of America have been partners in serving young people. Peace Scholars Rotary Peace Scholars are leaders promoting national and international cooperation, peace, and the successful resolution of conflict throughout their lives, in their careers, and through service activities.

Total engagement for virtual Youth Ambassadors Programs is between hours per week. Follow-on activities with the participants are an integral part of both the in-person and virtual Youth Ambassadors Programs, as participants apply the knowledge and skills, they have acquired by implementing projects that serve the needs of their communities. These adult program participants support the development of group cohesion and community among program participants; assist youth participants in cultural exploration; engage youth participants in learning and help connect their experiences to their Community-Based Service Initiatives; and continue mentorship development following the virtual or in-person exchange by supporting youth participant project implementation.
