Mpeg-1 layer-3 codec

Me too! Same here Oh no! My computer is Windows Vista. I hope someone helps us soon. This Forum sucks, everyone ask but nobody actually gives a solution for the problem. I downloaded an MP3 audio file that will not play under Media Player. If its an. MP3 file, try renaming it to. MP2 and play in WMP. If it plays, the encoding of the file is not proper and that is why WMP is giving error.

So its not WMPs fault but file encoding is the culprit. Can anyone help me? I loaded songs from my ipod to my computer using ephpod and I cant play them using itunes. PLease help.

Hello I have the same problem i have downloaded a video but no sound iv tried everything suggested on here and no luck can someone help. Hobsons choice is a genius!!! I had th same sound problems, VLC done the trick. Cheers Hobsons choice. I cant seem to figure out how to use VLC can someone break it down for me?

Same problem here i tried about 5 media players none would work. I tried the VLC player it is great. Thanks guys! Just interested.
